Recent Projects on behalf of USA Business Partners
Chemical Plant, North of England
July 2011, on behalf of a US BP we completed the change out of an Ericsson MD110 with 720 end-points to an Avaya CM ESS with Modular Messaging in the North of England. With over 600 analog end-points the change over was completed in one weekend with over 2 miles of jumper wire used to connect to the existing frame.
Italy, Denmark, Norway & Sweden
Asked by one of our US Business Partners, a 4 site simultaneous upgrade to CM 5.2 was completed together with installing additional hardware. This was completed at the same time as the US Business Partner upgraded the centre Enterprise switch. Our technicians were on site in Milan, Copenhagen, Oslo and Stockholm simultaneously.
Lyon, France
On behalf of one of our US based Business Partners, we have completed the installation of a 500 port system in a new building in Lyon. This installation included: 47 x DECT base stations and 60 x DECT handsets providing total coverage within the building as well as the outside campus. 40 specialist clean phones were also sourced from Australia and installed as the building was under construction.
Mumbai, India
Whilst clearly not part of Europe, we were asked to manage the installation of a new site for a large US based financial institution. Having some staff with Indian language skills and being nearer to the Indian time zone clearly helped us on this very complex project. The end-user has now asked our Business Partner to ensure Comec is always used for any of their European offices. The end-user then asked Comec to maintain their sites in the UK, Germany and Luxembourg which, via our US Business Partner, we are pleased to do.
Frankfurt, Geneva, London
It is not always about installation of new Avaya equipment. When the credit crunch happened and it became clear the global banks were in trouble, Comec was asked to go and decommission three sites that were owned by one of the USA’s biggest banking corporations. The sites were located in Switzerland, Germany and England, with the equipment being returned to one of the bank’s UK based warehouse facilities. A precise inventory of equipment was prepared by Comec for the bank.
Paris, France
A fairly routine installation of a 150 port Communication Manager was performed on schedule for a large technology end-user, even though we were only given 8 days notice by the Business Partner.
Malta
A successful installation of a 75 seat contact centre was completed for an online gambling company. Presumably they located in Malta to avoid other jurisdiction laws on such trading. The site is now constantly updated by Comec UK.
London, Amsterdam, London, Paris and back to the USA
750 ports spread across 4 sites in Europe for a research company proved no problem, even though we were asked last minute by the Business Partner. Applications included Modular Messaging as well as an Elite Call Centre.
